The end of the world for most, the beginning for others.Spencer is a survivor of the undead pandemic. Someone who evades enemies, and gets herself out of near death experiences. Spencer is a collector of knives. She much prefers secrecy and subtlety so she is often in the woods, evading the living and the dead akin, setting traps, and hunting. With so many years into the end of the world, she’s grown comfortable with silence and the company of herself. When the dead no longer stayed dead, the world began feeling far more freeing for Spencer. The confines of the old world quickly vanished. The new word separates her from her darker past, something she's tried burying again and again. Wounds heal but their scars and scabs serve as a reminder. A painful one.

immune AU Bitten by the undead at some vulnerable, overrun military check-point. Unexpectedly, she lived through the night. She veils scars which would cause question. It had lasting effects? Now she can sense when undead are lingering near. Maybe a part of her belongs to the dead now.Spencer fears that someone will hunt her down and use this— use her.

“Is this my life now? Hunted wherever I go?”Place to place, never quite settling down. From one desolate building to a forlorn house, or if she’s lucky, some dead doomsday prepper’s home. That is rare. She is used to being on the road, used to seeing anyone she passes die. It’s simply how things play out. It’s better to have no connections. Makes moving from place to place much easier. Especially with her condition. No one could discover her. They would try to have her, try to control her. She still doesn’t know what it means exactly. Why did she survive through the night after getting bit by the undead. She was going to embrace death but it didn’t come. She had awoken. The wound was still bloody and looked quite bad. But in time it did heal.Spencer managed to survive. And here she’s now, evading humans. Trying desperately not to be seen. She can only go through this so many times. Meeting people and then finding out their true intentions. Or seeing them meet their demise. She isn’t invincible by any means but these days she knows how to survive. The sorts of people to avoid. And? There is a supposed bright side to things. She can’t quite put it into words, it seems after the bite, after she had realised she wasn’t infected, she gained something? Some sort of ability, if you can call it that.Spencer can sense when the undead are near. Even more so if they’re in a large horde. It comes like intuition, like a mere gut feeling. It still freaks her out but it certainly has helped her many times.Even with that, she still had to be careful and keep avoiding other humans. She keeps veiled and hopes the possibly nearby people will pass. This surviving thing takes its toll. Sometimes she doesn’t understand the appeal of enduring. Maybe this all means something. Or maybe she is just pathetically biding her time in this forsaken world.— posted 4 Feb 2026

“How many walkers have you killed?”A voice cuts through the silence. A Southern drawn and authoritative voice. A man that stands across from Spencer. They haven’t exchanged much. Merely names and reassurances they aren’t planning to use their weapons on each other. Maybe a promise doesn’t mean much these days. Spencer knows she has no ill intentions herself. She has been on the road for so long. What this man had said, claiming he has an area fenced off from the undead. He would not say where this idyllic place is. Sure, Spencer could admire his survival instincts and weariness to trust. That they have in common. The man did claim he would consider bringing her along with him if she answers particular questions.Hearing his question is surprising. Why does he concern himself with how many of those monsters she’s put down? She has to be respectful of his unique set of questions. The young woman is careful with her words.“It wouldn’t be fair for me to say… I— I believe quite a lot. I know I’ve killed dozens of walkers.”Her candour may be appreciated. The older man seems pleased with this answer. Or it’s sufficient enough.“How many people have you killed?”The man continues on, unwavering.“Fifty… or more. Can’t be too precise.”Without much silence or hesitation, Spencer answers him. Once again with a certain truth. She isn’t sure why she continues on. Why is she answering these questions in hope of being taken back to his protected camp? The man isn’t surprised by her answer. Maybe her number is higher than she believes. It isn’t something she keeps score of.The man has his hand rested on his holstered Colt Python. He is all confidence and nonchalance, as if he’s done this many times. Asked these questions.“Why?”He asks now, his expression neutral, his body relaxed. That is the first question to have Spencer unsure of what she is going to say. It is uncertain why he wants to know the intent behind the act.For the first time today, Spencer doesn’t know what to say to Rick Grimes and his bloody questioning. Why /had/ she done those things?— posted 9 Feb 2026
